The St Kilda Football Club is proud to join the Good Friday Appeal in 2018.

The Saints' will partner with the Kangaroos to stage the second-ever Good Friday 'Kick for the Kids' match on March 30 at Etihad Stadium.

The Round Two blockbuster provides an outstanding opportunity for St Kilda supporters to see their team play in a marquee match, while raising money for the Royal Children's Hospital.

The Appeal was officially launched on Monday morning, with now four-year-old heart transplant recipient Arielle announced as the face of the fundraiser for 2018.

Arielle was fitted with an artificial heart at just eight-days-old, and through the expertise of the team at the Royal Children's, was given the gift of a brand new heart five months later.

The Appeal looks to support the work that makes success stories like Arielle's possible.

Five dollars from every ticket sold to the match will be donated to the Good Friday Appeal, while both clubs will be involved in fundraising initiatives in the lead up to the event.

In 2017, a record $17,605,662 was raised while over $327 million has been raised since the Appeal began in 1931.

St Kilda CEO Matt Finnis said supporters would welcome the opportunity to support the iconic fundraiser as the Saints' aim to return to finals football this year.

“To be part of Good Friday is a great result for St Kilda fans and we look forward to partnering the Kangaroos to support the Good Friday Appeal and make it one of the showcase games on the football calendar," Finnis said.
